About Us

I want to introduce myself and tell my story...
My name is Tina Walin and I was born and raised on a farm in Froid, MT. I moved to Havre, MT and attended college and lived here for about 8 years. I then moved to Helena, MT for about 4 years and then Lander, WY for about 5 years. I have been back in Havre, MT for a little over 12 years. I am married and have 3 daughters. 2 of my daughters are adults and out on there own.
For years I have worked in the customer service industry in one way or another. Each job I have had has provided some type of service to people. Growing up I loved giving to others. Flowers were one thing I purchased and gave as gifts. I also like receiving flowers. They just make me smile. I always thought I would work in a floral shop. It never worked out. In November & December of 2021 I lost both my parents. As time went on my outlook on life changed. I realized more then I had before how short life is. In the fall of 2022 I filled one of my bucket list dreams. I took a pottery class and began my venture into throwing items on the wheel. People wanted to purchase items and then started requesting different items to be made. That is when TJ Walin Pottery was formed. A few months after that I just felt I was not doing all I wanted in my life. I jumped online and found a floral certification class and started putting some arrangements together. I was really enjoying it!! After lots of discussion, prayer and asking myself what would my parents say, I left the outside working world and started working from home. I have opened up shop in my walk-out basement. My shop provides TJ Walin Pottery, Floral Arrangements and Candy Bouquets. I even started making soy candles with my pottery pieces! I want to provide gifts that people can give to people that will make their day. Whether it is a birthday, anniversary, thank you, or to help someone through a loss. I hope my items bring a smile to others. I don't know if this is my long term path or not. But I have come to realize in my life that if you don't try you won't know.
My parents meant everything to me. I chose to create my pottery logo and my floral shop logo in their memories. The pottery logo is wheat and a rose. Farming was their life. Being raised on the farm and seeing and learning that work ethic and the toughness they had during the bad years really taught me a lot and made me who I am today. The name for my floral shop, Sunshine Floral & More, came from my dad's two-way handle and it is also close to my maiden name of Sundheim. Plus my dad loved to sing "You Are My Sunshine" on the way to church when we were kids. The yellow rose has been a tradition in my family since my Grandma Heller ( my mom's mom) passed. It was one of her favorite flowers so my mom, sister and I always made sure when we sent flowers to each other there was at least one yellow rose in the arrangement. The colors of the logo also came from my dad being a John Deere guy. He had the same John Deere combine for 20 years. What can I say...once a farm girl always a farm girl!
There you have it...this is my story...this is why I opened up my shop!! What ever the future holds I will embrace it. I will always be thankful for this opportunity to full fill a dream I have had for many years. I hope I can provide a service to the Havre, MT area that people will love while making my dream of working in the floral industry and owning my own business come true.
